However, most of us will put up with crowds if it means sandy beaches. What if I told you that you didn’t need to go to those bustling hotspots to have an awesome beach holiday? There are plenty of other, quieter places to visit. Here are some unique beach destinations that are perfect for a summer getaway.

It doesn’t get much quieter than this! This little taste of paradise can be found in The Bahamas, and guess what? It’s a private island! The water is turquoise, the sands are white, and there are no crowds to be seen. If you want to visit a peaceful sanctuary of beauty, then this is the place to go. The only drawback is that it can be a little expensive during peak season. This is because they limit the number of people who can visit at once.

Marieta Islands

Take a trip to Mexico, but try to avoid the busy hotspots. Such as Cancun! If you want a unique beach holiday, then head to Marieta instead. This group of uninhabited islands are so stunning; you won’t forget them in a hurry. There’s one place in particular you have to visit. Hidden Beach. It is easily one of the most beautiful and unique beaches on the planet. If you can find it, of course.

 

Iceland

Who said that beaches have to be hot? There are some pretty spectacular strips of coastal land to be found in Iceland if you know where to look. You may not want to explore them in a bikini, however. Jokulsarlon is a must-visit if you want to take some awe-inspiring photos. Here you’ll find black volcanic rock for sand, complete with glass-like chunks of ice. It has to be seen to be believed.

 

Sea Isle

When you think of beach holidays in America, you probably think of Florida or Hawaii. If so, you could be missing out on the beautiful City of Sea Isle. This city has it all going on! Cornwall is easily one of the best places to visit in the UK, for a beach holiday. Especially if you want to learn to surf. If you time it right, you may even get some sunshine.
