Mayon Volcano, the Perfect Cone Mountain

The mountain that is distinguished as the “perfect cone” due to its almost symmetrically conical shape is the Mount Mayon or Mayon Volcano. It is located in the Province of Albay, southeast of Luzon, Philippines. Local myths named the volcano after the legendary heroine Daragang Magayon (a Bikol dialect meaning Beautiful Lady), so it was later on called as Bulkang Magayon (Beautiful Volcano).
